Bean Bags?

Interestingly, the only graffiti in the city of mumbai seems to be the words " BEAN BAGS " followed by a phone number. You can see this all over the city, with almost no other graffiti whatsoever. There are a few schools of thought as to what it means. Some say that it is a high class escort service which requires a secret password, but the more likely answer is that is is actually just an innovative marketer trying to sell his bean bags.

Apparently the bean bag shop is in Bandra and the guy who sells them has a team who work around the city putting up these 'adverts' quicker than the government can pull them down. Interestingly, you rarely see them on brick work, its almost always on metal walls, temporary structures and such. This seems to have been going on for years, im quite surprised no one else has tried it, there are no other budding entrepreneurs trying to flog thier produce by this method. So perhaps there is something more sinister behind this bean bag phenomenon. Teams of bean bag graffiti artists ready to pounce if someone attempts to sell a reclining couch on their piece of turf.

BEWARE! Rogue Cow Pushing Leopards In Mumbaikers Faces.

Yesterday's Mumbai Newsline ran a front page headline 'Spot of Trouble' about an injured leopard that left its home in the Sanjay Gandhi National Park and strayed into northern Mumbai suburb slum of Kandivli. The Leopard attacked one guy then went for a snooze under an auto-rickshaw (tuk-tuk). An onlooker then saw the second attack unfold as a lady was injured on her way to morning ablutions:

“It then came in the main alley and started growling but did not attack anyone. A cow pushed the animal against her face,” said local resident Jeetu Singh.(Quote)

The article then goes on to say how the leopard was successfully sedated and its injuries may prevent it from ever being reintroduced to the wild. No mention of the cow though. I will be on my highest alert now when travelling around the city, looking out for rogue cows attempting to push dangerous animals against my face.
